CITIZENS ANTI-TERROR & SURVIVAL TRAINING
CATS is an online anti-terrorism awareness course for helping civilians to survive terrorism. CATS is a free face book course spread over 6 months, with two posts every weekend (sat & sun) posted on FB fan page “Major Deepak Rao” i.e. FB@majordeepakrao
ELIGIBILITY
Adult men & women. General public only. Not for Forces or Police personnel.
This is an elementary course and thus not for members of armed force, government agencies and police forces who routinely undergo a higher level of anti-terror training.
HOW TO JOIN
The CATS course begins on Nov 17 2018 and will end on 12 May. To access the course posts, you need to follow or like the page. Anyone can join any point of time and go backwards in time to access the posts from the beginning. All adult men and women are eligible.This course is for public information, interest & education to help make Indian citizens aware of terrorism and familiar with terror survival responses.
CERTIFICATION
After conclusion, an online MCQ multiple choice exam may be offered for those who volunteer to take the exam and be evaluated. Candidates who qualify may be granted certificates which may be charged nominally. A decision to this effect shall be taken depending upon the demand. This course is designed by Hon. Major Deepak Rao, Indian forces Pioneer of modern Close Quarter battle Training. He is the recipient of Presidents Rank Award along with MS Dhoni, Abhinav Bindra, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar for his outstanding contribution to Anti-terror training.As a CQB & Commando Trainer, he has trained 15,000 soldiers from almost every elite special force including NSG Black Cats, Army Para SF, Commando Wing, IAF GARUD, Navy MARCOS, ITBP, SVP National Police Academy & ATS Squads of 12 State Police.
He has authored multiple books on Terrorism found in national Libraries of countries all over the world. He has also produced technical training field manuals on various battle subjects. His authored the world’s first encyclopaedia of Close Combat Op Training which was accepted into INTERPOL, FBI & SWAT libraries worldwide. He is regarded as one of the foremost authorities in the subject of Commando Close warfare training.
